Kerala, God's Own Country, with Tamil Nadu's temple towns: tea gardens and waterfalls in Munnar, a night on a deluxe houseboat in Alleppey, Trivandrum, the sunset at Kanyakumari, then Rameshwaram and Madurai. 3-star deluxe hotels, breakfast, lunch and dinner, a deluxe AC coach and a tour manager with the group.
Day 1: Cochin to Munnar
Arrive at Cochin airport or railway station and drive to Munnar (about 130 km, 4–5 hours). On the way, visit Valara & Cheeyappara Waterfalls and a spice plantation. Check in and relax. Overnight in Munnar.
Day 2: Munnar sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Mattupetty Dam & Lake, Echo Point, the tea gardens and Eravikulam National Park (subject to availability). Back to the hotel by evening. Overnight in Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar to the Alleppey houseboat
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey (about 175 km, 5–6 hours). Board the deluxe houseboat by noon and cruise Kerala's backwaters past lush green villages, with lunch, dinner and an overnight stay on board.
Day 4: Alleppey to Trivandrum
After breakfast, drive to Trivandrum (about 160 km, 4–5 hours). Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Napier Museum (subject to opening times). Evening free for the local market; Kovalam Beach if time allows. Overnight in Trivandrum.
Day 5: Trivandrum to Kanyakumari
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari (about 90 km, 2.5–3 hours). Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue and Kanyakumari Beach, and watch the sunset. Overnight in Kanyakumari.
Day 6: Kanyakumari to Rameshwaram
After breakfast, drive to Rameshwaram (about 310 km, 6–7 hours). Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, Pamban Bridge and Dhanushkodi. Overnight in Rameshwaram.
Day 7: Rameshwaram sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Kothandaramaswamy Temple and the APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial, and explore the local market. Overnight in Rameshwaram.
Day 8: Rameshwaram to Madurai
After breakfast, drive to Madurai (about 175 km, 3.5–4 hours). Visit Meenakshi Amman Temple and Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace. Overnight in Madurai.
Day 9: Madurai departure
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Madurai airport or railway station for your onward journey.
