Our Kashmir Family Escape is six days and five nights: four nights in hotels and one on a houseboat on Dal Lake, with breakfast and dinner every day and a private 12-seater Tempo Traveller for the journey.
Days 1 and 2: Pahalgam
You land in Srinagar and drive to Pahalgam through the countryside. The next day is for the valleys around it: Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari, visited by local union vehicle, subject to accessibility and local conditions.
Days 3 and 4: Srinagar and Gulmarg
After breakfast you drive back to Srinagar, with the rest of the day free. Day four is an excursion to Gulmarg, known for its meadows and mountain views. The Gondola ride is optional and at extra cost, so you can decide on the day.
Day 5: Sonmarg and a night on Dal Lake
Sonmarg's Himalayan scenery fills the morning. Back in Srinagar you check in to a houseboat and take a one-hour shikara ride on Dal Lake before a night on the water.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, a transfer to Srinagar Airport for your journey home.
