Our Ladakh Adventure Holiday is a road journey of eight days and seven nights, from Srinagar to Leh, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake, travelling in non-AC Tempo Travellers with a tour manager for the group.
Srinagar to Leh
After a first afternoon at Nishat Bagh, Chashme Shahi and Lal Chowk in Srinagar, subject to your arrival time, the route crosses Sonmarg and Zoji La to Kargil, with Zero Point and the Kargil War Memorial on the way, subject to weather and road conditions. The next day continues to Leh by way of Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Magnetic Hill, and the rest of the day is kept free to rest and acclimatise.
Leh, Nubra Valley and Turtuk
A day in Leh covers the Hall of Fame, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Sankar Gompa. Then the road climbs over Khardung La to Nubra Valley and the sand dunes of Diskit and Hunder, where a camel ride is optional, at extra cost. Day six is an excursion to Turtuk, a village of Balti culture, stone houses and apricot orchards.
Pangong Lake
The last full day runs from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake and back to Leh, subject to the approved route, road conditions and timings, before your flight home from Leh.
